KymiRing Triple is totally new endurance sports weekend at Iitti KymiRing FINLAND

Iitti KymiRing in Finland is launching a completely new kind of endurance multisport event in July 2025. During two days, 26.-27.7.2025, cycling, running and roller skiing will be competed on the motorsport racing circuit. The event, which was born with collaboration of four actors, will bring together competitive athletes, enthusiasts and families to enjoy the Finnish summer days on a unique circuit.

 KymiRing, better known as a motorsport event platform, will serve as a stage for endurance sports upcoming summer. On the last weekend of July, cycling, roller skiing and running enthusiasts and the toughest competitors will gather on the circuit for the KymiRing Triple event.

KymiRing CEO Kornél Őry is delighted that the multi-sport event will be organized on the motorsport circuit. The strong actor in motorsport is delighted to open the circuit for the innovative group of organizers.  

“KymiRing is much more than just a motorsport circuit. It is a platform for many events and meeting point for sports communities, which is why this multisport event is also an excellent add for KymiRing’s strategy,” says Őry, praising the organizers’ ability to collaborate during the event’s development phase.

Midnight sun and a unique platform as the attractions of the new multisport event

KymiRing Triple will be built as a result of the cooperation of four actors. KymiRing provides the platform for the event, Lahti-based cycling club TWD Länken organizes the cycling race, Finland’s largest mass skiing event Finlandia Ski Marathon acts as the responsible organizer of the roller skiing and skating events, and Iitti-based event production company Jasun Talli brings the expertise to the running race.

 Three experienced event directors, Esko LummelampiMarkku Levanen and Jari Nisula, believe that the event’s versatility and special platform will attract participants.

 “We wanted to build an interesting endurance sports weekend on a fantastic platform. The conditions at KymiRing are top-notch and the midnight sun of July give you the opportunity to enjoy the event until late at night. Our goal is to grow the event year by year and bring in new elements on it after the first year. We also expect international participants to discover our event. We believe on our chances with the help of the large networks of various actors,” say the organizers.

KymiRing Triple is not just a competition but an event for the families as well. In all three sports, there will be distances and categories to choose from racing to amateur and junior series. In the elite groups, KymiRing challenges cyclists to a distance of 112.5 kilometers, runners to a half marathon and roller skiers to a marathon distance of just over 42 kilometers. Circuit is also a safe platform for these sports, where speed has a role.  

Kornél Őry also believes in the concept and trusts the organizers’ strong expertise and will to build a successful event.

“Our plan is to develop the KymiRing Triple into an international endurance sports weekend, utilizing the unique circuit area, enjoying the Finnish summer and the midnight sun. KymiRing as a venue provides opportunities for many additional programs and services that ensure the staying of participants and spectators in the area,” adds Őry.

Founded in 2019, KymiRing was transferred to a new ownership in 2024 with the aim of develop the circuit into the leading sports and entertainment hub of the Nordic region. Collaboration and long-term sustainable development with international and local actors play a central role in the work. The KymiRing circuit is 4.5 kilometers long, has 21 curves and has an altitude difference 18 meters. The length of the  main straight is 1.1 kilometers long. The track area covers 168 hectares and the area has diverse facilities for organizing events.
